SYLA to hold an Ethics Conference for Members

The Foundation has agreed to provide funding to SYLA to deliver an Ethics in Practice Conference to its members.

It is proposed to hold a virtual Conference over 3 one-hour sessions. In addition to SYLA members it will be attended by academic experts and experienced practitioners. The sessions will cover  “Practice Rules, 15 standards of conduct and complaints and how to deal with these”; “ Solicitors in a professional/private capacity/social media” and  “Duties to clients and to the court”.

The SYLA has a membership of over 2,900 and has consulted members on topics to be covered at the conference in order to make the training as practical and helpful as possible.
