Brexit and Human Rights in Scots Law Seminar Series
The Foundation supported JustRight Scotland in running a series of four public seminars, free of charge, on the topic of Brexit and its significance on four key areas of law – employment law, migration, gender and children’s rights.
The events featured a panel of academics and legal experts invited to offer views on the consequences of Brexit, and specifically whether, and how, Scots law may be transformed if Scotland were to leave the EU.
The panellists were encouraged to present material on the relationship between Scots law and Eu law as it currently stands in a form which was easily digestible to a general, non-legal, audience in order to spark informed debate on these issues.
