The Foundation contributed towards the cost of hosting the 11th annual Sir Gerald Gordon Seminar in Criminal Law at The University of Glasgow. The award allowed the event to be hosted free of charge to delegates.
The first Sir Gerald Gordon Seminar was held, with the Foundation’s support, in 2009. Following the success of this event, the decision was taken to establish it as an annual generalist criminal law seminar – the only such event in the UK academic calendar.
The seminar in 2019 marked the eleventh anniversary of the event with 66 delegates registered to attend (including Sir Gerald himself). At the seminar papers were presented by seven speakers on a wide variety of topics.
